The best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear. The next best way is to join over a thousand Santas along a 5K course in Westport! Take advantage of this opportunity to become every child’s favorite man as each participant receives a Santa Suit. We will literally be filling the streets with holiday spirit! All participants in the Santa Dash receive their own Santa Suit, bib chip timing, a finisher’s ornament, and lots of holiday treats!
Start/Finish: The race starts at 10 AM near Kelly’s in Westport (the intersection of Westport Rd and Pennsylvania Ave)
Awards: Awards will be given to top male and female Santas and top 3 Santas in age groups 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and up. Note: you do not have to wear a Santa suit to qualify for an award …but why wouldn’t you?
Post-race: Join us afterwards for Santa’s favorite post-race snacks including cookies and hot chocolate, along with other great Christmas goodies! Be sure to hit up the streets of Westport after the race for great deals on holiday shopping!
Strollers Welcome! We ask that walkers with strollers start behind the runners so everyone will be safe!
Note: No runners with headsets, motorized vehicles, roller blades, bikes or dogs will be allowed on the course as our insurance policy does not cover these. No runners with strollers will be allowed but you can WALK with a stroller. Protection will be provided at all intersections by volunteers or the Kansas City Police Department.
